My Approach

 

Science informs us that nature (genetics) and nurture (learning) determine our psychological perceptions of life. Our perceptions involve thoughts, emotions and urges. 

 

These perceptions can make life difficult to manage. Working in collaboration together, we develop your ability to manage your perceptions, make healthy decisions and have have the strength to follow through. Developing the ability to confidently manage your life is no small accomplishment. 

In order to achieve such peacefulness and wisdom, I teach people how to apply concepts such as:

  • impulse control

  • emotional regulation

  • thought management

  • peaceful acceptance of things beyond our control

  • understanding/forgiving self

  • understanding/forgiving others

  • the management of urges and cravings 

  • wise decision-making
